The diaphragm is the most important part of the pulse valve. When the pulse valve is turned on, the trapped air above the pulse valve diaphragm is quickly exhausted, causing the main diaphragm valve to open quickly. When the pulse valve is turned off, the air is exhausted through the outlet of the main pulse valve to balance the diaphragm pressure and immediately close the pulse valve.
