Polyester Needle Felt PTFE Filter Bags

Polyester filter bags are one of the most popular types of filter bags. They are made by laying polyester staple fibers into a fibrous mesh, and then strengthening the mesh into a fabric with a barbed needle. The fibers are repeatedly pierced to strengthen the fabric, forming a needle-punched non-woven fabric. Finally, the film is laminated to form a PTFE polyester needle-punched felt filter bag. Non-woven fabrics without warp and weft, different, the performance of warp and weft have no special difference. The air permeability of polyester filter bags is more than 50% higher than that of ordinary calendered filter material, with a smooth surface, good air permeability and low resistance.

PTFE needle-punched felt polyester filter bags are an excellent choice for high-efficiency filtration. After needle punching, they undergo heat curing and other treatments, giving them the best of both worlds: good air permeability, smooth surface, and not easy to deform or clean dust. In actual use, the polyester needle felt filter bag also shows high resistance to wear, winding and folding, and is much stronger mechanically. This means that the initial resistance of the dust collector and the working resistance are reduced, improving the filtration efficiency. The heat resistance of this filter bag is better, with the use temperature generally being 130-150 degrees Celsius, and the instantaneous temperature can reach 150 degrees Celsius. However, if you exceed this temperature, it may cause deformation or fire of the filter bag. This filter bag also lasts quite a long time, usually 4 to 6 months.

Selecting a filter bag

When it comes to PTFE polyester needle felt filter bags, the fiber density of the bag affects the entire PTFE coated bag in terms of physical properties, style, tactile feeling and so on. What is fiber density? Fiber density is mainly the thickness of the fibers.

So what is a good fiber density of PTFE coated dust filter bag? The air permeability of the filter bag depends on the fiber size. This is an important technical indicator of the filter material of the filter bag, so we select the fiber density that matches the air permeability level of the filter material as a prerequisite.

If you need to apply a coating, we can use needle felt with a weight of 600 g / m², 700 g / m² or less. The PTFE film acts as a "primary dust layer", and the material exchange occurs on the surface of the film. This means that the film immediately begins to filter effectively. Therefore, after the felt is laminated, it simply acts as a carrier for the membrane, and using more felt will not affect the air permeability.

Although PTFE has some special properties, the number of fibers used in the filter material also depends on the design requirements. If you do not need to coat the bag, we recommend using fine fibers to ensure the filter material fits tightly and achieves effective filtration.
