How to Select Rubber Diaphragms for Electromagnetic Pulse Valves in Power Plant Dust Removal

2. Recommended Diaphragm Materials by Working Conditions

① Normal Condition (≤80℃, low corrosion)

· Material: NBR (Nitrile Rubber) with fabric reinforcement

· Features: Oil-resistant, wear-resistant, cost-effective

· Application: Low-temperature dust removal, after desulfurization

② Medium Temperature (80–150℃, mild acid)

· Material: High-temperature Silicone Rubber

· Features: Heat-resistant, anti-aging, good sealing

· Application: Coal-fired boilers, baghouse dust collectors

③ High Temperature & Severe Corrosion (>150℃, SO₃/HCl)

· Material: FKM (Viton) or PTFE composite diaphragm

· Features: High temperature resistance, strong acid and alkali resistance

· Application: CFB boilers, before desulfurization, high-corrosion flue gas

3. Key Selection Principles

· Use fabric-reinforced diaphragms to improve tearing resistance and fatigue life.

· Ensure compressed air is oil-free and water-free to avoid premature swelling.

· Size must match the pulse valve model (such as RCAC 25DD4012) to prevent air leakage.

· For long-term stable operation, choose diaphragms with more than 1 million pulse cycles.
